#1000Ties

On September 19^th 2014, Phylanthropic Inc. partnered with The Blackman Can to produce an exceptional TieRaiser for their #1000Tie Campaign. The goal of this event was to collect enough ties to educate over 100o minority students on professional development and tie tying skills. The support was overwhelming with ties being donated from as far as South Africa, England, Brazil, Atlanta, San Francisco and New York City.

#1000Ties was held at Laetus Lounge in Hartford Connecticut, where local and regional donors gathered to enjoy signature cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and delicious treats provided by Justice Sweets.

We are extremely humbled by this events success because it allows us to positively impact the lives of over 1000 young men across the country will be attending The Blackman Can Institute.

With close to 1500 ties collected, we would like to give a special thank you to Macy’s Inc. and The Men’s Warehouse for donating over 150 ties. Phylanthropic Inc and The Blackman Can plan to make this an annual event and we look forward to changing the lives of our next generation for the good.
